HouseParty.com's Cutest pet contest winnings!

Houseparty had a cutest pet contest in May. They chose from about 10 submissions, and then had a poll for people to vote. It was a very close race, and my bunny Bunz came in second place! They awarded both Bunz and the other finalist top prize!!  Here is the picture I submitted.

Today was a pretty good freebie day! First I got an exercise band from Nature's Bounty  I also got some cucumber seeds and $1.00 off coupon from Lil' Critters Gummy Vitamins!  Next was my free Rolling Stones from freebizmag.com. I have gotten so many great free subscriptions from them. Sign up for their mailing list and you will get notifications when free magazines are available! Next, is the bamboo tipped water bottle from L&M cigarettes. I am not a smoker, but if you sign up for their club you can get not only coupons, but some great freebies. I've also received a zippo lighter and ashtray from them!

Secret Fearless Friday update!

I just blogged 2 days ago about Secret's Fearless Fridays giveaways.  I got an email from them on Tuesday and already got the package today!! That was quick! Inside was a 1 oz sample bottle of Secret Fresh Effects Cucumber Aloe body mist, clinical strength light and fresh advanced solid, and an air freshener!  I love the clinical strength deodorant, and the cucumber aloe spray smells nice, it has a clean fresh scent.

Here are today's freebies I received in the mail!! :) First, Guitar Player magazine. I get SO many free magazines, this is one of my favorites ;)  I got it when freebizmag.com was offering it, I've gotten lots of other great subscriptions from them for free as well. I also received a 3 oz sample of Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Radiant lotion from a giveaway they had on their facebook page. I received this email from Secret after they commented on a post I had made on "Fearless Friday", asking me to email them to tell them more about my picture.   Each Friday, Secret asks people what makes them fearless, what you do to help out your community and various other things.Here was the post from Friday, May 25th:
"Fearless Friday: Give up one day from your weekend and give back to the community. It’ll be rewarding in more ways than one! Show us a pic of what you did to make a difference!"

I posted the pic above and explained that I work with a nonprofit. I build bunny toys and send them to a friend of mine who runs a nonprofit called Baskets for Bunnies. They send supplies and toys to rabbit and small animal rescues all over the country, and soon to be in Canada as well!!  (you can also find them on Facebook here:  http://www.facebook.com/basketsforbunnies It's a wonderful organization ran by an amazing woman)
 Secret commented my post, telling me to email them and tell them more about what I do, so I did. I explained more about my favorite nonprofit and I also told them that we live 15 minutes from the beach. We make it a point to pick up all trash that we see. I always take a bag to pick up trash at "our" beach.
Here are some of the built bunny toys, still have a few more to be finished and shipped out Thursday.

I sent them my shipping info, and they will be sending me something TODAY! :)  I have a friend that did this and got clinical strength deodorant and body spray, so I'm pretty anxious to see what I'll be getting. I'll be sure to share pics of what I get! :)

Bzz report for Filippo Berio(R) Olive Oil campaign

I was absolutely stoked when I got the invitation to participate in the Fillippo Berio(R) Olive Oil campaign! The kit was great, it came with a bottle of olive oil, a conversion magnet, a lid grip, and several coupons with recipes. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box.
The first thing we decided to make was this great baked potato recipe that I found on Pinterest
It turned out wonderfully and the flavor was amazing.  it gave the outside of the potato the perfect crispiness.  We have used the oil to replace vegetable oil in cakes, as well as brushing olive oil on chicken breasts before grilling. Another of our favorite ways to use it, is to cut a french bread loaf in half, drizzle olive oil on it, sprinkle garlic powder and mozzarella cheese and bake until cheese is melted. yum.....

I would definitely buy this brand again. I've used other olive oils and I really liked this particular brand.  We had been phasing out vegetable oil right before this campaign was offered to me, and after using this product, I am convinced olive oil is the way to go.
